How selection works

CBT-1 is only for screening. Its normalised marks decide who goes to CBT-2 (15 times the vacancies). Part B of CBT-2 must be passed with 35% but its marks are not used in merit. Up to 8 times the vacancies are then called for CBAT, where every test battery needs a T-score of 42. For CEN 01/2026, final merit uses CBT-2 Part A and CBAT with 50% weight each (the 2025 cycle used 70:30). Ties are broken in favour of the older candidate, then by alphabetical order of first name. Shortlisted candidates then go through document verification and the A-1 medical test.
