Everything about SSC JE

How selection works

Paper-I is qualifying in the 2026 cycle: candidates who clear the minimum qualifying marks are shortlisted for Paper-II in order of merit. The final merit list is made only from normalised Paper-II marks, separately for JE (Civil), JE (Electrical & Mechanical), Scientific Assistant (IMD) and JE (Telecom). Posts are then allotted on merit-cum-preference, and documents are verified by the user departments. Note: in JE 2025 and earlier, Paper-I and Paper-II marks were added together for the final merit.
