Instructions

A 1-minute warm-up on the same passage comes first (not checked). Then the 10-minute test starts; it is submitted automatically when time is over.
The passage is about 1500 key depressions (300 words). Type it exactly as given – capitals, punctuation and numbers included – with one space after a punctuation mark.
Backspace, Delete, arrow keys and all editing are off (RRB: editing tools are not allowed). If you make a mistake, just type on.
If you finish the passage, start typing it again from the beginning – every word you type counts towards your speed.
Type at least 300 words (1500 key depressions), otherwise the test is not evaluated. Speed needed: 30 WPM net.
Mistakes = full + half ÷ 2. 5% of the words typed are ignored; each remaining mistake cuts 10 words. Net WPM = (words typed − final mistakes × 10) ÷ 10.
