Educational qualification

AAO / Assistant Accounts Officer (State Cadre)Bachelor's degree plus knowledge of the state's regional/official language (State Cadre). CA/CMA/CS/M.Com/MBA (Finance) etc. are desirable, not mandatory.

Other conditions

Nationality: Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from certain listed countries with an eligibility certificate (as per the CGL 2026 notice).

Final-year students can apply if they will have their degree by the date set in the notice. Some posts (e.g., CBIC/CBN Inspector, Sub-Inspector in CBI/NIA/NCB) have physical standards or medical requirements, listed in the notice annexures. Ex-Servicemen reservation applies only to Group C posts.
