Everything about SSC CPO

How selection works

In the 2026 cycle, Paper-I (100 marks) only decides who is called for PST/PET; both physical tests are pass/fail. Candidates who clear them sit Paper-II (320 marks), and the medical exam shortlist and final merit are drawn from Paper-II marks plus any NCC bonus, with scores normalised across shifts. Posts are allotted by merit and the candidate's preference; once a candidate gets a preferred post, they are not considered for the others. Ties are broken by total Paper-II marks, then English marks in Paper-II, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order of name.
