Educational qualification

Physical standards
Havaldar only (MTS 2025 notice). Men: height 157.5 cm, chest 81 cm with a 5 cm expansion, walk 1,600 m in 15 minutes. Women: height 152 cm, weight 48 kg, walk 1 km in 20 minutes. Height relaxation for certain groups: 5 cm for men, 2.5 cm for women (and 2 kg in weight for women).
Other conditions
Nationality: Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin covered by the notice (with an eligibility certificate where needed).
MTS vacancies are filled state/UT-wise, and each state/UT has its own category-wise cut off. Candidates pick their state/UT preference in the application.
