Questions in English and Hindi (except the English section). Scores normalised if held in multiple shifts. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 30%, OBC/EWS 25%, others 20%. (2026 notice)
Skill test
Dictation speed: 100 words per minute for Grade C, 80 wpm for Grade D. Qualifying only. Scribe-eligible candidates get more time (Grade C 55/75 min, Grade D 70/90 min). Candidates who take the test in Hindi must learn English stenography after joining, and vice versa.
