Educational qualification

12th (+2 stage) pass or equivalent with at least 50% marks. The 50% rule does not apply to SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen, or to candidates with a higher qualification (e.g. graduation). Candidates waiting for their result are not eligible – you must have passed by 13.11.2026.

1st Stage CBT – screening test, common for all four posts. Normalised marks decide who goes to CBT-2: 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB.
2nd Stage CBT – final merit. Candidates equal to the vacancies (1:1) are called for document verification.
Document verification & medical examination.

⌨️ No typing test this time: the Computer Based Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk Cum Typist and Accounts Clerk Cum Typist is dispensed with for CEN 07/2026. Typing will be checked after joining – practise typing free on RealMocks so it does not delay your confirmation.

How many vacancies are there in RRB NTPC Undergraduate 2026?

CEN 07/2026 has 1,688 vacancies: Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk 700, Accounts Clerk Cum Typist 200, Junior Clerk Cum Typist 600 and Trains Clerk 188. Last year (CEN 07/2025) there were 3,058 vacancies, so the total is 44.8% lower.

What is the last date to apply for RRB NTPC 12th level 2026?

Apply online from 15.10.2026 to 13.11.2026 (23:59 hours). The fee can be paid till 15.11.2026. The modification window is 16.11.2026 to 25.11.2026 (₹250 for each modification).

What is the age limit for RRB NTPC UG 2026?

18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2027. UR/EWS candidates must be born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2009. Upper age relaxation: OBC-NCL 3 years (born on or after 02.01.1994), SC/ST 5 years (born on or after 02.01.1992), PwBD 10/13/15 years and ex-servicemen as per rules.

What is the qualification for RRB NTPC Undergraduate posts?

12th (+2 stage) pass or equivalent with at least 50% marks. The 50% condition does not apply to SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates, or to candidates with a higher qualification such as graduation. You must have the qualification on or before 13.11.2026.

Is there a typing test in RRB NTPC UG 2026?

No. The Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for Junior Clerk Cum Typist and Accounts Clerk Cum Typist is dispensed with for CEN 07/2026. Typing proficiency will be checked after joining, and poor performance may delay confirmation or promotion.

What is the selection process of RRB NTPC 12th level 2026?

1st Stage CBT (screening) → 2nd Stage CBT (merit) → Document Verification and Medical Examination. Candidates equal to 15 times the community-wise vacancies of each RRB are shortlisted from CBT-1 for CBT-2, and candidates equal to the vacancies (1:1) are called for document verification.

What is the exam pattern of RRB NTPC UG CBT-1?

100 questions in 90 minutes: General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30 and General Intelligence & Reasoning 30. CBT-2 has 120 questions in 90 minutes (GA 50, Maths 35, Reasoning 35). Each wrong answer has a negative marking of 1/3 mark.
