Questions
What is the typing speed for High Court clerk / JJA tests?
It depends on the court – commonly 30 to 40 WPM in English (lower in Hindi) for 10 minutes. Some courts give marks for speed, others only qualify you. Check the notification of your High Court and practise at a little above that speed.
Is the court typing test from a printed passage?
Some courts give the passage on paper, others on screen. Practise both: on-screen tests and the printed-passage (PDF) tests here.
Is Backspace allowed in court typing tests?
Rules differ. If your notification says editing or Backspace is not allowed, practise the RRB NTPC-style tests here, which switch Backspace off.
Where can I practise court stenographer dictation?
Free steno dictations from 40 to 120 wpm with transcription checking are at realmocks.com/steno-dictation.
