How you passNet WPM = (words typed − 5 × mistakes) ÷ 10 ≥ 35 (NVS 30)Speed (words typed ÷ 10) ≥ 35 (NVS 30) and accuracy ≥ 95%
Example: 2,000 key depressions = 400 words typed, 12 mistakes.
CBSE pattern: (400 − 5 × 12) ÷ 10 = 34 WPM – just fails KVS (35), passes NVS (30).
KVS 2023 pattern: speed 40 WPM, accuracy 100 − 12 ÷ 400 × 100 = 97% – passes both.
